Lago Grey and Grey beach
From the beach at the southern end of Lago Grey you get spectacular views of Glacier Grey far away at the northern end, some 17km walking distance away. You can reach Grey beach by taking a private transfer from Puerto Natales or coming at it from within the park, by crossing the lake by boat. The boat sets off from Refugio Grey near the spiky point at the top right of the lake by the glacier, at 1pm. It's lovely to walk along Grey beach and there are some W Trek trips, winter trips and kayaking trips that allow you to make the most of the views of los Cuernos mountains and the Paine Massif from this angle.
