Day 1: Transfer from Puerto Natales; Tierra Patagonia Hotel

After your transfer from Puerto Natales, you can spend the afternoon settling into the surroundings at the Tierra Patagonia Hotel. A transfer from Punta Arenas or El Calafate can be arranged at an extra cost.

Unwind in the hotel's swimming pool, jacuzzi, or sauna; book a massage for later in the trip; or go for a relaxed wander around the area, discovering some of the local wildlife.

The location of the hotel showcases some of the best views of the Torres del Paine massif, whetting your appetite for the exploration and adventures that lie ahead.

If time allows, you may be able to fit in an afternoon excursion today.

In the evening, meet other travellers in the bar over a Pisco Sour – the Chilean national drink – and enjoy a hearty dinner in the restaurant.

Day 2: Boat trip and trek to Glacier Grey viewpoint; Tierra Patagonia Hotel

The day begins with a scenic transfer through the park followed by a short walk, before embarking on a catamaran that will take you up to the northern shores of Lake Grey.

From here the path ascends through lenga forests and over rocky outcrops, towards Glacier Grey. One of the highlights is reaching the viewpoint from where you get superb sights of the Southern Patagonian Icefield, and the icebergs that float on the surface of the lake.

You return along a different path to Lake Pehoe where you will take another catamaran back across the lake to meet your transfer to Tierra Patagonia Hotel.

Day 3: Boat trip and trek to the French Valley; Tierra Patagonia Hotel

The day begins and ends with a very scenic 30min boat ride across Lake Pehoe for this excellent roundtrip hike.

You'll start by following a meandering path between the slopes of Paine Grande and the shores of Lake Skottsberg. There are stunning views of the Cuernos (Horns) on the way. After reaching Italian Camp, you'll cross a bridge over the French River and head up the French valley to a clearing where you can take in views of the absolutely mesmerising French Glacier.

You will return to Lake Pehoe on the same trail and return to the luxury of Tierra Patagonia Hotel.

Day 4: Trek to the base of the Towers; Tierra Patagonia Hotel

This world-famous hike demands stamina, but the rewards are the breath-taking views of the three granite towers. This hike involves a steep ascent for an hour, bordering the Rio Ascensio until reaching the Paso de los Vientos. From here it's a 30min hike until you reach Campamento Chileno where you can have a short break.

The walk then continues to ascend through the forest for 90mins, gaining altitude very quickly and with amazing views of the geological formations in the area such as folds, fractures and granite intrusions. The last hour is the most challenging and difficult, where the trail winds its way up an exposed moraine section of loose rock.

On arrival at the viewpoint, you'll have an awe-inspiring view of the Torres del Paine and, if the weather allows, you can have lunch with this fantastic view.

We will descend along the same trail – it takes about 4hrs to reach the starting point from where we return to Hotel Tierra Patagonia.

What our customers think of W Trek Luxury Adventure Retreat

Mostly everything was incredible.. the physical space of the hotel, the guides, the rooms, etc. I would say the food was just okay.. also they made a number of mistakes repeatedly with our packed lunches for hikes. The hikes were the best part obviously and guides were amazing!

Deborah Melincoff - USA

My most memorable moments were waking up to the stunning landscape of Patagonia every morning and being able to take it all in throughout our stay at the Tierra Hotel.

Travelled: November 2023

Rene Yoshizawa - USA

We loved staying at Explora. The hikes we did from there were really great and more remote (way less crowded) than the hikes we did from El Chalten. Staff was amazing. Food was good

Mary Hawkins - USA

I had such a wonderful experience at Tierra Patagonia. The hotel facility itself was beautiful and hotel staff were exceptionally thoughtful and courteous. The guides (including Kineret and Basilio) were absolutely fantastic and have an obvious and deep affinity for the work that they do.

Torres del Paine is the most beautiful, unspoiled place that we have ever been to, and we have traveled to every continent on the globe except Antarctica. This park is unlike any found in the States. Except on the French Valley trek, we encountered few other hikers or visitors. It's pristine, and the Chilean people have really preserved this wonderful resource.

John Jenkins - United States Of America

The highlight of our Patagonia trip was our hotel in Torres del Paine and the excursions there.

Travelled: February 2019

Victor Siegle - United States Of America

The hotel was outstanding from the decor/accommodations, to the food, to the view, to the warmth and welcome from the staff, and expertise and friendliness of the guides. I can't say enough about the staff from the servers to the drivers, to the guides, to the management.
