Specialist activities in Patagonia
Building a specialist trip
One-day activities
See the highlights of Patagonia, and ask our specialists to build in one day of spectacular wildlife-spotting or adrenaline-fuelled activity. As part of your longer Patagonian itinerary, we'll put you in touch with a specialist guide for a day or two, with all the equipment you'll need to do your chosen activity.
You don't have to go far off the beaten track to do something exceptional - Torres del Paine has some fantastic kayaking and puma tracking, Los Glaciares mountain biking and horse riding, Tierra del Fuego is brilliant for bird watching, and you can fish in beautiful surroundings in the Lake District.

Short specialist activity breaks
For those with more experience, or who want to spend a chunk of their trip off-grid, we can organise 2-3 day trips doing your chosen activity. This could be anything from a multiday kayak trip through fjords, wild camping on remote islands, to a 3-day puma tracking adventure, to a mini bike tour around the stunning Lake District.
Spending a few days doing a specialist activity can make a big difference. Not only will get much deeper into the wilderness surroundings, often completely off-the-beaten-track, you'll have more time to connect with your specialist guides and learn about Patagonia.
Extended trips
Longer trips with a single focus. If you're looking to hone in on a specific activity in Patagonia, there's a few different routes to investigate. First is the epic expedition, a 10-day horse ride into the wilderness, a 7-day kayak in a wildlife hotspot, even a 2-week mountain bike challenge down the Carretera Austral.
The other option is visiting a number of different regions, but keeping your focus in each. Bird watch in Atacama, Los Glaciares and Tierra del Fuego, all in one trip. Fly fish in the lake district, Torres del Paine and Ayen. Tick 4 mountains off your list in a mountaineering focused adventure. Our specialists are experts and building itineraries that span the whole of Patagonia, but keep your true passion at the heart throughout the trip.

Multi-activity trips
Patagonia is an adventurer's paradise, with a myriad of terrains to discover. The pampa is best discovered on horseback, the rivers by floating down them, and the volcanoes by climbing them, so why choose between activities?

Taylor Carlin says
My perfect summer's day in the Argentine lake district was a morning of mountain biking through the foothills of the Andes range, followed by an afternoon's relaxing kayak on a local lake and a refreshing swim in the cool water, not forgetting the many rounds of maté shared with new friends!
