Isla Martillo

Isla Martillo, or Maritllo Island, is a small island home to a penguin colony in the Beagle Channel in Tierra del Fuego.

This island, along with Gable Island, belongs to the nearby Estancia Harberton, and were bequeathed to the Bridges family that lives there thanks to their extensive work with the Yaghan natives from Tierra del Fuego and as a reward for helping the Argentinian government to colonise this area.

On Isla Martillo you can walk amongst the penguins and take some brilliant photos by going on a guided boat tour.
