Aysen puts on many different faces throughout the year. While it doesn't have a traditional busy high season like other Patagonia destinations, each season offers visitors a different experience, until the snows start to arrive and tourism shuts down for the winter.
Weather: Temperature settling between 47-68F (8–20C). Northern Aysen can be quite rainy at this time and there's the chance of snow in the mountains.
Daylight: With 12-14 hours of daylight there's plenty of opportunity for long days exploring.
Advantages: The start of the season is the quietest time to visit Aysen, as accommodation opens fresh for visitors
Things to consider: Athough it's spring it can still get very cold at times, especially with the windchill, so ensure you bring plenty of layers.

Weather: With temperatures up to 79F (28C) it can feel hot during the day, especially when hiking, but summer winds can still carry a sharp edge
Daylight: Aysens's longest day is in December, with 16 hours of daylight.
Advantages: Take your time on the trails and enjoy daylight long into the evening. Warm temperatures mean more comfortable hiking even in the strong winds.
Things to consider: The relatively new tourist scene in Aysen is a world away from busy destinations like Torres del Paine, so you'll still often feel like you have the place to yourself
