World class hiking is only one aspect of Torres del Paine. The superb fishing, kayaking, cycling, horse riding and puma tracking opportunities here are some of the park's best-kept secrets. You can add these activities on to a multi-day trek, or base yourself in one of the remote estancias for a more immersive experience. Click on the icons in the map for more information.
Scattered around the park are refugios, camping sites, luxury lodges and all-inclusive hotels. Click on the icons on the map for more information about each one, or visit our hotels page to find the accommodation that's right for you.
Just look at a map of Torres del Paine and the colours will draw you in: the sprinkling of blue lakes in the south, the white ice cap to the west with it's white tongue of Glacier Grey and the green forest shrouding the grey towers, horns, spade and fortress peaks.

Torres del Paine's two most famous trekking routes are the W Trek and the O, or Full Circuit, both incorporating the Grey Lake, French Valley and Ascensio Valley. However, some of our favourite hikes take place off the beaten track: the Pingo, Silencio and Bader valleys are hidden gems that offer quieter paths and stunning scenery.
For more on each of these treks visit our guides to the W Trek, Full Circuit, and Trekking Off the Beaten Track.
Puerto Natales town is the only gateway to Torres del Paine. Roads from all over the region meet here, making it a necessary stop for anyone wishing to visit the national park.
Transport links in the region are reliable and frequent, making it easy to supplement your time in Torres del Paine with a visit to nearby sites such as Los Glaciares National Park, Ushuaia or the vibrant cities of Santiago and Buenos Aires. Our guide on how to get to Torres del Paine has more detail.
