Do you have any tips or advice for other people planning a trip to Patagonia?

You don't need to overpack, but be sure to bring layers. In December we had beautiful weather most of the time, but it did rain. Good rain/wind protective gear is the number one most important thing to bring. In El Chalten and El Calafate they had laundry service so we got all caught up on clean clothes after finishing the W and making it up to Argentina. And be sure to bring a camelback--you will needs lots of water every day. Don't worry about getting water though, there is no bacteria anywhere, so you can fill up with water out of any stream.

Has your experience changed your perspective in any way?

I'm addicted to trekking!!! At age 60, I was wondering if I could handle the 90 miles we completed over the nine days we hiked. I did it without having to take a day off. But It it imperative that you train first! Don't think you can just go down there and conquer these trails without being ready.

Do you have any recommendations or feedback for the Swoop team?

Nope--you guys are awesome.
