Overall, how was your trip?
My highlight was the trek on day one, to Grey Lake. I think this is because it was the first day, so everything was very 'Wow'. Landscapes amazing, wildlife good - saw some birds and little lizards. The people I met were great, very friendly, energetic and happy. I will tell my family and friends to go. I was surprised the weather was so good - only one morning with a bit of rain and snow. I think a 'magical moment' was kayaking on Grey Lake and getting up close to icebergs and the glacier.
In one sentence, what did you think of Patagonia? Did it live up to your expectations?
Absolutely. It was incredibly beautiful.
Would you visit again?
Yes
How was the service that Swoop provided?
I am very pleased with the service Swoop provided. The trip choice was good for me. As I camped at Las Torrens on the last night I couldn't get to the Towers for sunrise, but still saw it from the campsite. A small improvement could be to work out campsites (discuss the different locations and distances between) with clients prior to booking, although I didn't have a problem with my campsites or the walking distances each day.
How did you feel about booking directly with our partner(s)?
Yes Dittmar Adventures was great. I got contacted regularly leading up to the trek by Swoop and Dittmar which was helpful.
How likely is it that you would recommend Swoop to a friend?
9 out of 10
Do you have any tips or advice for other people planning a trip to Patagonia?
Think about how much $ and time you want to spend (whether you are happy to rush or would prefer a little longer in the parks). Also whether you are suited to carrying all own equipment and food or not.
