The trail from Paine Grande to Mirador Glaciar Grey was one of the most spectacular ones from every sense. After walking the uphil against the strong wind for a while, we couldn't but wonder at the scene of Cero Paine Grande on the right side and Lago Grey on the left. It was a marvelous scene, different from any other place in the world.

So many moments of the trip were special and memorable, but one that stands out is getting to the first lookout in the French Valley and watching several avalanches send snow spilling down the glacier. The views were amazing despite mist and light rain. So worth the tough hike up.
