Ushuaia was the southernmost city until 2019, when Puerto Williams became a city and took the title. There are diverse options on the excursion front, but an absolute highlight had to be kayaking on the Beagle Channel, where sea lions followed our boat—playing—and even spyhopping to get a look at us!

Getting to the southernmost settlement in the world - Puerto Toro - on Errante's ‘public boat’ service around the island is one of the best things I've done in decades of travel experiences in Patagonia. The virtuous community work done by Jorge, Constanza and their team simply blew me away.
