Located in the Magellan Strait, Carlos III Island is close by the Francisco Coloane Maritime Park, a protected coastal area of some 67,000 acres, for scientific research. It's here that it's possible to see Humpback whales breaching and playing in the water during a Patagonian Adventure Cruise from December through to April.
