Rio Futaleufu
Nearby the town with the same name in the Chilean Lake District, this fast-flowing river is the site of the yearly Futafest, a competition held by local white water rafting companies in the Chilean Lake District with kayaking & rafting races.
It's a top spot for white water rafters from all over the world, and it's not hard to see why as rafting this river's waters is an exciting challenge. Furthermore, the river's surroundings make it a lovely place to visit even if you don't plan to white water raft. You'll find forests, mountains and lakes nearby, and if you do choose to kayak or white water raft with a local operator, you'll stay at a riverside adventure camp where you can relax in a hot tub or enjoy horse riding & trekking too.
