Lake Filo Hua Hum
Two hours drive from both Bariloche and San Martín de los Andes, Lake Filo Hua Hum is a popular camping destination for cyclists. The quiet gravel roads in this area are perfect for mountain biking, allowing cyclists to pedal from between a number of secluded lakes here.
The Filo Hua Hum river runs through the lake on its way to nearby Lake Falkner. It is well-stocked with both brown and rainbow trout, making it a top fly fishing destination. The fish rise at their most enthusiastic in the lake from December to February, allowing food fishing from drift boats.
There is a tranquil campsite on the southern shore of the lake. A gravel road north from Filo Hua Hum leads to Lake Meliquina, and on to San Martín de los Andes.
