Why we like this hotel

  • Despite being close to town, you feel fully immersed in the Patagonian landscape as all rooms have expansive windows with views of the fjord
  • Design inside and out is flawless. Based on the traditional architecture of wooden estancias and sheep sheds, the structure works in harmony with the surrounding nature thanks to an environmentally-friendly grass roof, heating and lighting system
  • There is an impressive variety of shared excursions, including many off-the-beaten-track options that take you away from the crowds
  • The food is excellent. Their à la carte menu offers gourmet dishes inspired by the region, with fresh delicate flavours made from delicious local ingredients
  • You can unwind in the infinity pool and spa after a day of excursions and look out over the fjord as the landscape changes colour with the setting sun

Zoe says

There is an incredible serenity about this hotel with its bright, open spaces and beautiful traditional art throughout. The food was some of the best I've tried in the region - such creative dishes and delicate flavours.

Rooms and Pricing

Rooms

Bedrooms have wall-to-wall panoramic windows that allow natural light to flood in and floor-to-ceiling strips of lenga wood which bring the forest and nature indoors.

All 72 rooms are exactly the same size – a generous 33sq m – and beds can be either double or twin. A third single can be added to transform the room into a triple for families or groups of friends.

The ensuite bathrooms have spacious bathtubs edged with granite tiles and huge drenching showers overhead. Bathrobes are provided to take down to the spa, as well as slippers. The room is equipped with a hairdryer and there is a laundry service for guests.

Bedrooms have Wi-Fi, even if it's a little patchy at times.

Hotel Remota

Pricing

Open all year round, the Remota offers you the opportunity to enjoy the splendour and charm of Patagonia whether in summer or winter.

In the 2024/25 season, an all-inclusive four-night stay, based on two people sharing a double room in high season, starts from USD 2,900.

The rates include transfers to the hotel, daily excursions, use of the spa, full-board and an open bar. There is an additional cost for spa treatments, premium wines and liquors.

Bed & breakfast

For guests wishing to stay, but not on the all-inclusive rate, there is the option to stay at the hotel on a bed and breakfast basis. While B&B guests can enjoy all of the hotel’s facilities, any excursions would need to be booked with a travel operator in Puerto Natales, as the excursions provided by the hotel are solely for guests doing the all-inclusive programs. Hotel Remota can assist with recommending travel operators in town.
