What our customers think of Hotel Remota

Remota was fantastic. Beautiful, well run, and a great group of like-minded guests. Staff was efficient and multilingual. The choice of active excursions was excellent; we were there six days and we tried to alternate between day treks into Torres del Paine and half-day activities (equestrian, kayaking, caving). Review:

Why we like this hotel

  • Despite being close to town, every room immerses you in Patagonia with vast windows framing the fjord.
  • Flawless design blends tradition and nature—wooden estancia-inspired architecture, a grass roof, and eco-friendly heating and lighting.
  • A standout selection of excursions, including hidden gems far from the crowds.
  • The à la carte menu delivers gourmet regional flavours—fresh, delicate, and packed with local ingredients. The desserts are delicious!
  • Unwind in the infinity pool and spa with huge windows to watch the landscape shift hues with the rising and setting sun.

We think it's worth noting

  • The food can be repetitive if staying for more than a few nights
  • Sometimes there is a long time to wait for meals and between courses (very tight for lunch).
  • National Geographic and other groups can take up most of the hotel on certain dates.
  • Rabbits are being hunted by wild dogs in the surrounding area.

My favourite part about Remota is the excursions. There is a wide offering plus flexibility and they'll even try to run them if you're on your own. They have exceptional guides, well-set expectations and do the tours our customers want to do!

Bed & breakfast

For guests wishing to stay, but not on the all-inclusive rate, there is the option to stay at the hotel on a bed and breakfast basis. While B&B guests can enjoy all of the hotel’s facilities, any excursions would need to be booked with a travel operator in Puerto Natales, as the excursions provided by the hotel are solely for guests doing the all-inclusive programs. Hotel Remota can assist with recommending travel operators in town.

There is an incredible serenity about this hotel with its bright, open spaces and beautiful traditional art throughout. The food was some of the best I've tried in the region - such creative dishes and delicate flavours.
