This itinerary is an example of how you could spend your time on the all-inclusive experience based at Rio Serrano. The list of full—and half-day options is on our dedicated excursions page.

Day 1: Transfer to Torres del Paine National Park; Hotel Rio Serrano

You will be met in Puerto Natales or Punta Arenas for your shared transfer (on a pre-set schedule) to Hotel Rio Serrano—located inside Torres del Paine National Park.

If you are arriving from El Calafate a transfer can be arranged in advance at an additional cost.

Depending on your arrival time you'll be able to explore your new surroundings and learn more about excursions before enjoying dinner at the hotel.

Meals: Dinner
Accommodation: Hotel Rio Serrano

Day 2: Paine Lookouts Tour

Today, you'll enjoy a 7-hour journey through Torres del Paine National Park, perfect for those who want to explore without extensive hiking. The Paine Lookouts tour will take you from west to east by vehicle, stopping at various natural and panoramic viewpoints along the way plus a picnic surrounded by the park's breathtaking landscapes.

Soak in views of mountains, lakes, rivers, forests, waterfalls, and steppes, while also exploring historical sites and spotting local wildlife before returning to the hotel later in the afternoon.

Meals: Breakfast, lunch, dinner
Accommodation: Hotel Rio Serrano

Day 3: Glacier Grey Boat Trip; Serrano Horseback Riding

In the morning, after a transfer, you'll take a short, invigorating walk to Grey Beach, then set sail across the stunning Grey Lake, dotted with blue icebergs and surrounded by dramatic scenery. Cruise alongside towering ice walls and immerse yourself in the views of the glacier before returning to shore and the hotel.

In the afternoon, you'll gear up and get riding tips before exploring Serrano Village and the Magellanic forest. Ride along the scenic Serrano and Nutria Rivers, reaching the confluence with the Grey River to witness its unique colour contrasts, enjoying the steady pace of the region's hardy "criollo" horses.

Day 4: Iconic half-day hike; relaxation afternoon

For today we suggest an early rise in order to undertake a half-day hike  - Aonikenk, Toro Lake, Sarmiento Lake, Ferrier Lookout, Condor or Cuernos Viewpoint. Each has a different route, duration and elevation profile.

The afternoon can be reserved for relaxing. Read your book, play pool and bask in the warmth of the modern spa facilities.

Day 5: Transfer to Puerto Natales or Punta Arenas

In the morning, after breakfast, you can sit back, relax, and enjoy a scenic ride back to Puerto Natales or Punta Arenas. Alternatively, take a transfer across to El Calafate subject to availability/additional cost.
