Operator's Itinerary
Day 1: Transfer to Torres del Paine; Wildlife safari
You'll take a private transfer from Puerto Natales with a guide to Torres del Paine. Along the way, there will be plenty of photo opportunities.
Once in the national park you'll meet a local wildlife guide and begin your slow, quiet hike to observe guanacos and, hopefully, the elusive puma in their natural habitat. Photo opportunities will be brief so as not to disturb the animals.
You'll then be taken to the riverside camp where you can settle in and spend the night.
Meals: Box lunch, dinner
Accommodation: Serrano Camp
Day 2: Glacier Grey boat trip
After breakfast, you'll take a transfer to Lake Grey and enjoy a short walk through the beech forest to the pier. You might see woodpeckers, Austral parakeets and huemuls on the way.
The boat trip on Lake Grey will take you through the bright blue icebergs and close to the massive facade of Glacier Grey where there will be time for photos and perhaps you'll even see giant chunks of ice calving from the glacier.
You'll return to shore after about three hours and have a picnic lunch, followed by a walk along the beach to see icebergs that have been marooned on the shore by the strong winds.
A transfer will then take you back to the riverside camp for another restful evening of fine food and company.
Meals: Breakfast, box lunch, dinner
Accommodation: Serrano Camp
Day 3: Lake Sarmiento; Lake Nordenskjöld; Salto Grande Waterfall
Your first destination today is Lake Sarmiento - the largest lake in the park. You'll stop here to take in the view of the dark blue water contrasting with the white calcium deposits on the shoreline.
Later you'll be driven to Lake Nordenskjöld and the Salto Grande waterfall.
You'll have a picnic lunch and siesta back at the riverside camp before heading out to a prime location for observing guanacos in pristine nature.
Meals: Breakfast, box lunch, dinner
Accommodation: Serrano Camp
Day 4: Estancia Day; Transfer to Puerto Natales
After breakfast at Serrano Camp, you'll be taken to Estancia San Luis for a busy day of activities. This will likely include a sheep shearing demonstration, a dog herding show, and a lamb barbecue.
You'll be able to observe the daily life of gauchos and you might see upland goose, pygmy owls, southern lapwings and Magellanic oystercatchers during walks. There will also be the option for a one-hour horseride in the surrounding area with a chance to fully enjoy the beautiful landscapes.
Later in the afternoon, you will take a transfer back to Puerto Natales (arriving around 5:30pm).
Meals: Breakfast, asado lunch
Accommodation: The Veat Hotel or equivalent
