Why we like this hotel
- You're in an unbeatable location, surrounded by lakes, volcanoes, rivers and fjords (while only 20 minutes from Puerto Varas town).
- Each room has floor-to-ceiling windows which offer superb views over Lake Llanquihue down to the Osorno Volcano.
- The world-class chef produces a fantastic variety of dishes using ingredients grown in the hotel’s garden and sourced locally.
- Personal service is excellent at AWA with friendly and helpful staff.
- The luxurious spa is a perfect place to relax after being out all day and includes an indoor lap pool, sauna and small gym.
We think it's worth noting
- It is modern in all areas so if you're looking for something more rustic it's not the right choice.
- Check whether your room will have hot water in the shower.

AWA gives you luxury and quality in every sense. It has a super modern feel with huge windows, king-size beds and impressive decor. I loved the spa and communal areas to sit watching the sun go down.

For me, it's all about watching the light change on Osorno Volcano. I'd wake up for sunrise and watch the colours, then go back to sleep for a bit. In the afternoons, the sun glistens like diamonds on the water and at sunset, everything turns pink. Even if you aren't in the best suite rooms, there are plenty of areas around the hotel from which to admire Osorno - both indoors and outdoors.
