Operator's Itinerary

This itinerary is an example of how you could spend your time on this all-inclusive experience. Alternatively, you can choose between full or half-day excursions to design and adapt a trip that best suits your preferences.

Day 1: Private Transfer from the Airport; Visit the Brazillian side of Iguazú Falls and Bird Park

After arriving at either Puerto Iguazu (IGR) or Foz de Iguaçu Airport, you'll be met for a guided transfer to the incredible Awasi Iguazú hotel.

Iguazú Falls is one of the world’s largest waterfall systems, stretching over 1.7 miles across the Iguazú River (nearly twice as wide as Niagara Falls). It consists of around 275 individual falls, ranging in height from 60 to 82 meters (197 to 269 feet). For your first afternoon, you'll head out onto the walkways on the Brazilian side to enjoy the remarkable panoramic perspective of the entire waterfall system.

You can choose to stroll at a relaxed pace along the trail, immersing yourself in the stunning landscape, or, if you’re up for a bit more adventure, cycle around 7.5 miles from the park entrance to the walkways, experiencing the subtropical surroundings before reaching the spectacular falls.

You'll also have time at the Parque das Aves (Bird Park) where you can walk through large forested aviaries to spot birds such as macaws, toucans and hummingbirds in their natural habitat.

A transfer will take you back to the hotel in time for a gourmet dinner.

Meals: Lunch, dinner
Accommodation: Awasi Iguazú

Tourists travelling from the USA / Canada / Australia (and some other countries) may need a visa to enter Brazil, even for just the afternoon. Please ensure you have checked this requirement before purchase and travel.

Day 2: Full day at the Argentinian Side of Iguazú Falls

Following a hearty breakfast, you'll head for a guided exploration of the Upper and Lower Circuits of Iguazú Falls. After a short 30-minute drive, you’ll start a relaxed 2.2-mile walk along pathways that showcase breathtaking views of the falls, including up-close encounters with San Martín, Bossetti, and Dos Hermanas. Surrounded by lush vegetation teeming with birds, butterflies, and coatis, these circuits let you take in the falls from every angle. By setting out early, you’ll enjoy the beauty and tranquillity of the park before the crowds arrive.

In the afternoon, you’ll continue to the iconic Devil’s Throat, which reopened in July 2024 and is one of the highlights of the Natural UNESCO World Heritage Site. A boardwalk path takes you to the brink of this massive 260-foot cascade, where you’ll feel the power of the water as it thunders down. Along the way, keep an eye out for swifts, especially in the early morning and late afternoon, as they return to nest behind the falls.

Return to the hotel to relax, take a dip in the pool and enjoy another dinner with locally sourced ingredients and fine wines.

Day 3: Excursion to Yacu-í Private Reserve

Today, discover the pristine beauty of the Atlantic Rainforest, one of the most biodiverse ecosystems in the region. Begin your journey along the scenic National Road R.101, which cuts through Iguazú National Park, offering glimpses of rare and ancient species such as Rosewood trees, Palm Heart trees, and striking tree ferns. The red dirt road, framed by lush greenery, is a visual treat in itself.

Your destination is the Awasi Yacu-í Reserve, a serene haven nestled within this verdant paradise. Upon arrival, take to the tranquil waters of the Yacuí Creek with a kayak, explore the area with our Guides as they inspect wildlife trap cameras, or simply unwind by the creek’s edge, soaking in the calming sights and sounds.

For those with an interest in local culture, the surrounding area is home to numerous Yerba Mate plantations—offering a glimpse into the traditional production of this iconic South American tea.

You will be out for 7-8 hours on this excursion (2 hours travel time) so return to the hotel to rest and have dinner.

If you would prefer a less active day you can go with your guide to meet the Guaraní people—the original inhabitants of these lands and guardians of the Iguazú Falls. Experience this melting pot of cultures, enjoying the unique experience of being guided by locals, who will reveal the hunting traps they used to use to catch food, their traditional medicinal plants and the artisan crafts they make from materials found in the jungle.

Meals: Breakfast, box lunch, dinner
Accommodation: Awasi Iguazú

Day 4: Private Transfer to the Airport

Your private guide will take you from the hotel to Puerto Iguazu (IGR) or Foz de Iguaçu Airport in plenty of time for your onward flight.

Meals: Breakfast, lunch
