Life Before Swoop
Growing up in the UK, I always had a burning desire to travel the world. From my first childhood holiday camping in France, I knew travel was in my bones.
At the age of 21, I managed to save for my first long-haul trip to Australia, via Singapore and Bali and I've never looked back. Road Trips, long drives, wild camping, being outdoors and mountains have always inspired me and I've been lucky enough to travel extensively through Europe, Asia, the USA, Central America and South America.
I was an Overland Tour Leader for several years, based in South America, I lead tours across Ecuador, Peru, Bolivia, Paraguay, Uruguay, Brazil, Argentina and Chile. I lived my dream with long road trips, scenic drives and camping throughout that time, giving me some real insight into the landscapes and culture of those countries.
After settling near Iguazu Falls for a year, I returned to the UK with my rescue dog. I've worked in several fields since then, including being a sports coach, but my heart always returned to travel.
I feel incredibly lucky to be able to share my travel experiences and knowledge but more importantly to help inspire and support others to live their travel dreams.

My Patagonia Experience
My first taste of the region was in 2006 when I spent 3 months exploring Argentinian Patagonia with my sister. From Peninsula Valdes and the whales, via beautiful Bariloche to El Calafate and the Perito Moreno glacier, I was hooked. I immediately became a Tour Leader and spent several years taking trips from the Atacama Desert, via Santiago and Pucon (Chilean Lake District), El Calafate and across the border to Torres Del Paine. I'll never ever forget my first view of Torres, it is, and always will be, one of the most breathtaking sights for me.
I've completed the W Trek, albeit when it was just camping and refugios! I've travelled down to Ushuaia and had the privilege of driving all the way across Argentinian Patagonia up to Buenos Aires. Nothing prepared me for its sheer natural beauty—the windswept landscapes, the clearest views of the Milky Way, the mountains and the turquoise lakes.

The Next Adventure
My husband and I have spent the last two years spending 3 weeks road-tripping (well Van tripping!) across sections of the USA, long drives, scenic routes and stopping where we want to.
Next year we want to travel from Salt Lake City to Phoenix to see some of the National Parks we missed (Arches and Canyonlands) and start to explore further South!
