What was your most memorable moment?

My most memorable moments are the glacier calving. It was fantastic and awe inspiring to witness. The sound created during this event is almost unbelievable.

Do you have any tips or advice for other people planning a trip to Patagonia?

I would focus on preparing for multiple days of long distance hiking with fairly significant elevation gain each day. The other tip would be to be sure and bring along a supply of quick energy options (ex. stroopwafel, gels or chews, or sugary hard candy). The lunches are tasty and substantial. The lunches did not include quick energy options if you get fatigued.

Would you consider another trip to Patagonia with Swoop?

No

Would you be interested in travelling to Antarctica with Swoop?

Yes

Would you be interested in travelling to the Arctic with Swoop?

No

How prepared and excited for Patagonia did you feel?

I was very excited to go to Patagonia It is definitely a destination on my bucket list. I felt I was prepared. Living in Denver, CO we have mountains to hike and elevation gains to help prepare. Yet, the hikes were challenging. The somewhat relentless pace and repetitive long days of hiking (10+ miles) was something that challenged me.

Something Else?

There was a distinct quality difference in the lunches provided during the Argentinian and Chilean part of our experience. It would be beneficial if the participant were advised of the non-vegetarian and vegetarian lunch option the evening before.
