Something Else?
We had the absolute privilege of having Christina and Cristobal as our guides for the three-day W Trek in Torres del Paine, and they were nothing short of exceptional. Christina’s deep knowledge of the park’s flora and fauna, geography, geology, and history made every step of the trek more meaningful. Her passion for Torres del Paine was evident in the way she shared stories, pointed out details we would have missed, and explained the landscape with such enthusiasm. Beyond her expertise, Christina was incredibly kind and professional. Her keen understanding of the terrain and ability to assess each hiker’s strengths allowed my mother to complete the trek successfully, giving us the opportunity to create lifelong memories together. Cristobal brought a warm, welcoming energy to our experience. As our driver and a companion at every dinner, he helped create a sense of camaraderie that made the journey even more special. His passion for the park shone through in every conversation, and his presence added an extra layer of support and encouragement throughout the trip. Both Christina and Cristobal were patient, present, and genuinely invested in making our experience unforgettable. Thanks to them, our time in Torres del Paine truly was the trip of a lifetime.
Do you have any tips or advice for other people planning a trip to Patagonia?
We didn’t fill up our water bottles in the streams, but there were refill stations at the base camps halfway through the hike. I think people from the United States are kind of water obsessed, so maybe encouraging people to bring two water bottles would be better.
