What was your most memorable moment?
Glacier Grey lookout. This was a beautiful end to my four day adventure. Stunning, serene, and simply spectacular. Second most memorable was awakening on Day 2 and seeing a horizon-spanning rainbow arching over Las Torres in the sparkling sunshine.

Do you have any tips or advice for other people planning a trip to Patagonia?
Rain gear is a must, especially waterproof boots. Don't overpack. A sleeping bag liner and water shoes (flip flops/slides) are a must.

Tell us about Torres del Paine
Torres Del Paine is a spectacular park of incredible and varied nature. You will be immersed in rocky moraines, lush valleys, hike along rushing rivers and glacial lakes, and see glaciers of all types. Each day brings new visions for your eyes and your soul to take in.
Tell us about the Trekking
I chose to hike the W-Trek without a guide and it was fabulous. I am over 50 and felt completely comfortable and safe for the duration of my trek. I thoroughly enjoyed the peace of hiking through beautiful nature with just my thoughts as company, allowing me to be present and absorb everything around me.
Has your experience changed your perspective in any way?
It has reinforced that the only real purpose we humans can really pursue is that of finding our own slice of happiness and love. Without this, everything else is meaningless. Our pursuits for wealth and success are also meaningless for we are here for a blip of time. Focusing our efforts on our happiness and our love for those around us is what leaves an impact that lasts for a tiny bit longer than we do.
Do you have any recommendations for Swoop, or feedback about the team?
Swoop was great in every way. I highly recommend a bit more clarity around Day 5 and potential excursions at Glacier Grey. Doing the ice hike and then hiking back to Paine Grande to catch a 6:40pm catamaran is not an enjoyable day for hikers of a certain age or after hiking 35 plus miles in 4 days. Also informing clients of all transportation options from Glacier Grey back to Puerto Natales would be helpful (Catamaran from Grey Glacier to Hotel Grey).
How prepared and excited for Patagonia did you feel?
I felt very prepared and super excited.
