What was your most memorable moment?
Truly all of it. So hard to pick one thing. The wonderful people I met every day that I still keep in touch with. The hiking. The stunning scenery. Hiking with Cati in Patagonia National Park and being the only ones on the 16km trail for the whole day. The beauty and hiking of Villa Cerro Castillo and El Chalten.
Which of the following best describes your adventure?

Do you have any tips or advice for other people planning a trip to Patagonia?
To just go to see and explore this beautiful part of the world. Aysen was very special and I could have stayed in this area longer. Give yourself lots of time.
Has your experience changed your perspective in any way?
Travel always makes me thankful for everything I have at home and in my country while experiencing and enjoying other countries and cultures.
Do you have any recommendations for Swoop, or feedback about the team?
For my one night stay in Puerto Guadal at Terra Luna I wanted to use the hot tub that was mentioned in my itinerary. I had been looking forward to it all day but when I got there, I was told they needed 4-6 hours to heat the hot tub. It would be good to have this info included. I won't deny, I had difficulties with my booking. I don't understand why Swoop starts you with one person but then transfers you over to another to complete things. I accept that I booked my trip close to my departure date so things moved along quickly. I think the thing that I got most frustrated with was Alicia's availability. Often when I called or emailed, I got a message saying she was doing things with her family for a few days. I don't deny anyone their time off or with family but it was always for a few days at a time so it made connecting with her hard at times. There was lots going on with my trip and it was a long trip and there are just times when you want and need to speak to the person you are dealing without waiting days. On the day of my departure, I had really wanted to speak with Alicia and I did not have my final documents yet. I caller her that morning but she was unavailable. That kind of freaked me out as I was going on this 7 week trip and didn't have my itinerary and couldn't speak with her. I still don't really find this an acceptable practice for your company. I spent a lot of money and I should have felt comfortable on my departure. If she wasn't available, someone else should have been available to me. Upon my arrival in Vancouver, I did receive my itinerary document. I wasn't able to print it at the hotel's office station but the front desk did. They were a little surprised by the size of the document. I was at a nice hotel so they didn't charge but I did feel a bit bad as I would have printed that at home. And it would have been nice to have had it with me when I left. I wanted it printed it out as reading a document like that on my phone wouldn't have been great for me.
How prepared and excited for Patagonia did you feel?
I had traveled to Patagonia in 2023 so I felt prepared although it was much warmer than I anticipated and warmer than it was last time I was there so I could have packed a bit differently. I didn't need as much warm clothing but that's better than being cold. I was more nervous this time until I got there.
