What was your most memorable moment?

I was especially appreciated the guide support on the 'moderate' hikes both at Eco Camp and at Explora. We had the ability to choose different activities (although many we did together) and everyone was able to do the things that they most wanted to do.

Which of the following best describes your adventure?

Tell us about Explora

The room was spacious and the bath and bed were very comfortable. There were major temperature changes between day and night and it worked out well. The bar had lots of options. The excursion options were good.

Tell us about EcoCamp

Loved EcoCamp - we had the suite dome and had the propane heater in the bath and wood stove in the bedroom. Each couple had it's own dome and the community domes were easily accessed. The guides were very responsive.

Tell us about Torres del Paine

We enjoyed our three days and did things east (estancia), central (base of the towers/french valley) and west (glaciers). For a fairly short trip we got a lot done.

Tell us about The Atacama

Our guide for the first half was so helpful - we did a lot of things - petroglyphs, Rainbow Valley, cactus hike, salt flats, geysers and stargazing. The hotel itself was very nice and we were able to stop in the town and walk around a bit (then walk back).

Tell us about the Excursions

All the guides were top notch and supportive of all our abilities. In the Atacama they were especially careful of the altitude. All guides seemed knowledgeable about the area, plants & animals and how to best enjoy the trip.

Do you have any tips or advice for other people planning a trip to Patagonia?

Figure out the logistics. For those of us who stayed in Chile we had 9 flight segments on 3 airlines. Staying one night in Santiago was a good idea to allow a bit of recovery from the red eye flight.

Has your experience changed your perspective in any way?

I am more interested in the eco friendly setup of Eco Camp - alternate energy sources, composting, local options, digital detox. It was in a very accessible area within Torres del Paine which seemed appropriate for the natural setting.

Do you have any recommendations for Swoop, or feedback about the team?

Thanks to Danny & Cecilia for helping set everything up.

Would you be interested in travelling to Antarctica with Swoop?

No

Would you consider another trip to Patagonia with Swoop?

No

How prepared and excited for Patagonia did you feel?

We felt very prepared - in fact we didn't need to bring a few of the things that we did but we used all the layers for the weather.
