Tell us about Los Glaciares
Amazing hiking opportunities throughout the Los Glaciares & adjacent reserve areas, which is what we went for in the first place, wild & pristine scenery was just the best & of course the day trip to Pietro Moreno was a real highlight!!! I knew it was all going to be great, but I just didn’t know how GREAT!!!😎
Tell us about Torres del Paine
Similar to Los Glaciares, Torres del Paine, in as much as the hiking opportunities throughout the Park & adjacent reserve areas was phenomenal, which is what we went for in the first place, wild & pristine scenery was just the best!!! I knew it was all going to be great, but I just didn’t know how GREAT!!!😎
Tell us about the Excursions
Every excursion we did, whether 4 mile or 12 mile hikes, with minimal incline or straight up for miles & everything in between was just exceptional with challenges & scenery that was spectacular!! Of special interest was the day spent with the puma researchers from the Cerro Guido Conservation Foundation on adjacent reserve lands. Every guide we had (and we had a number of them) were knowledgeable, well versed in the resource, conversational & “really fun”!🤣 They all obviously enjoy what they do!!

Nope!!! Other than Swoop, Los Glaciares & Torres del Paine all get an A+++ rating from us!!!
Do you have any tips or advice for other people planning a trip to Patagonia?
Don’t over pack! Pack for layering as you’ll be doing a lot of putting on & taking off!🤣. Training (regular hiking before you go) will really help you get the most out of your experience if you’re planning on doing the “difficult” hikes. If your skill level is more suitable for the easy/easy to moderate hikes, you’re still gonna have an amazing experience in the wilds with lots of great scenery & views! Even if it doesn’t come naturally, mingle a lot - it’s more fun when you’re enjoy the company of like-minded explorers. We met a dozen or so strangers who became new friends & who we hope to keep in close touch with in the future!! There’s lots to see in Patagonia - if you can swing it, add an extra couple of days beyond what you thought you’d need…you won’t regret it . We were in Argentina & Chile for nearly 3 weeks & still wished we’d had a few more days!🤣
Has your experience changed your perspective in any way?
Not really, I’ve enjoyed being in the woods all my life! The one thing I would say is that as you get older, trips like this make you realize more & more the importance of not putting adventures off too far in the future! Make it happen, before you can’t!😎

Our team…Cecilia, Zoe & Sydney, were all just amazing!! They were all so helpful, communicative, knowledgeable & simply put, “fun to work with!!! They are all great ambassadors for Swoop!!!
How prepared and excited for Patagonia did you feel?
Totally prepared & over-the-moon excited! Patagonia didn’t disappoint in any way!
