Initially I had wanted to plan everything for the W trek myself, but my husband suggested we go with a company and do a guided trek. I'm so glad I listened to him (this one time)! We stayed in the refugios and were full board. The guides shared a lot of information along the trek, took excellent pictures of us and others in the group, checked us into the refugios, held our place in the breakfast and dinner lines at the refugios, and were a lot of fun to hang out with! While we could have done everything ourselves, they made the experience more relaxed and enjoyable!
