Tell us about Patagonia Camp
Wow!!!
Tell us about Torres del Paine
The Estancia Cerro Guido is just a great place. It was the best part of our trip.
Tell us about the Trekking
Our guide, Javi, at the Estancia was really special. She loved her job and area--it showed. We had three nice hikes. The trip to the French Valley was limited because of time--but very pretty. Our hikes to Fritz Roy were tempered by the weather, one day we experience a blizzard, but we were able to experience the true Patagonia weather changes.
Tell us about the Excursions
At Estancia, we were able to see all sorts of wildlife--guanacos, Rheas, birds and we were able to see a cougar. Our horseback ride took us to spot which had the towers as a backdrop for us to view and take pictures. We were also able to see aspects of a working sheep ranch--including moving sheep from one pasture to another. This enabled us to see sheep dogs working. Our lunch at old home was very nice.
Tell us about Buenos Aires
Lovely city
Tell us about Santiago
Nice--but really another big city with smug.
Something Else?
The food at the Estancia was spectacular. And, the wine--wonderful. The Patagonia Camp is simply beautiful!!!
Has your experience changed your perspective in any way?
I brought us just pleasure. It was a bucket list trip which fulfilled my deepest desires.
Do you have any recommendations for Swoop, or feedback about the team?
Yes, don't overbook. I booked my trip 9 months in advance--and a month before we are notified of changes. At the same time, you were special in the way you adapted. The change to Estancia was great. We loved it. The problem was we didn't get to experience the full of taste of Patagonia Camp. You handled the error very well--I can only speak of the quality of your company.
How prepared and excited for Patagonia did you feel?
Our hearts just "skipped" a beat when we first saw Fritz Roy, then the glaciers and finally the towers. As prepared as we were, the beauty was beyond our expectations.
