What was your most memorable moment?

Easter Island. Nyara was good. I loved the excursions. Also the glacier in Perito Moreno. It was beautiful viewing from the platforms. And of course Tierra Patagonia was over the top fantastic.

Tell us about Tierra Patagonia

Guides were wonderful. Upgraded room was perfect.

Tell us about Torres del Paine

Loved the glacier. I also liked seeing Patagonia from both countries.

Tell us about the Excursions

Overall the excursions were good. The bike ride in El Chalten wasn't worth doing. You ride down a bump gravelly road that you've already driven. Also the bike ride in Buenos Aries was just okay. The bikes were awful and the guide didn't speak English very well. The Tango and Food tour were very good.

Something Else?

The only odd thing about our trip that we didn't notice before was that we connected through Los Angeles to fly to and from SFO. All of our friends flew without connecting in LAX. I'm not sure what our trip was planned with that connection.

Do you have any tips or advice for other people planning a trip to Patagonia?

We never exchanged into local currency. We used credit cards everywhere. We used cash mainly for tipping. Bring a few hundred dollars in 1s, 5s and 10s.

Has your experience changed your perspective in any way?

I always wanted to see Patagonia and Easter Island. Many of the people we met had also visited Atacama and Antarctica and the Lake District. Those are next on our travel radar.

Do you have any recommendations for Swoop, or feedback about the team?

I used the 800 emergency number during our trip to confirm how early to get to the airport. They were great. Sydney and Carys were excellent.

How prepared and excited for Patagonia did you feel?

Very. Fortunately we had good weather so we didn't need to use rain pants.
