What was your most memorable moment?

There really wasn't one magic moment, but rather a whole series of them. Perhaps the most stunning vistas, like Mt. Fitz Roy with no clouds, but always the sense of gratitude at our privilege to be standing there in that moment.

Sydney was wonderful to work with. She has a fun, friendly demeanor and did a great job helping us figure out our itinerary for this bucket-list trip.

Tell us about Patagonia Camp

The staff, guides, and food/wine were first class. Our only crititique would be that the entire place runs 24hrs/day on a natural gas generator. By contrast, Chalten Camp was more environmentally conscious.

Tell us about Explora

We really enjoyed Explora as it was nearing the end of our trip and we appreiated being pampered a bit and having a bit less intense trekking, etc. We also appreciated their efforts to be sustainable.

Tell us about Torres del Paine

We so enjoyed this park and would have given up our days in El Calafate and the Perito Morenno Glacier to spend more time there.

Tell us about Aysen

Really interesting to see the changes as we moved North, Aysen was more like home, with evergreen trees and mountains similat to the American West. The trip to the San Rafael Glacier was amazing. The transition on the Pacific side, icluding the marine life, was spectacular.

Tell us about Santiago

No special note about Santiago. We had a fun few days there, but it was really just a stop over on our way home. Hotel Le Reve was perfect for our budget and our time there.

Tell us about the Excursions

Out guides in El Chalten and Torre del Paine in particular were amazing. Almost exclusively female, which my wife and I really appreciated, and very qualified. The shock of El Calafate after such a peaceful time in Chalten Camp was a bit much, especially with the addition of the tour bus and all that goes with a trip to Perito Morreno. We were amazed by the glacier, but had we known how special the San Rafael glacier would be, we would have skipped those two days.

Something Else?

This was a special trip for us, both as a couple and as travellers. We had som many special moments and a wonderful time to reconnect together in such a truly amazing place. We will be back someday soon.
