What was your most memorable moment?
We had many memorable moments, its hard to choose. The restaurant recommendation that the team provided for our night in El Calafate was an amazing experience and we would not have known to make that reservation if not for Swoop's on the ground experience. On our cruise, we were able to land on Cape Hope and hike up to the monument. We experienced all the seasons during our short visit, but it made it clear we were somewhere wild and singular.

Tell us about Tierra del Fuego
Our Tierra Del Fuego guide was very knowledgeable and worked with us to get the best experience out of the park possible, since the winds that day had closed many of the trails. we were able to avoid the crowds and really immerse ourselves in the experience of the park.
Tell us about Torres del Paine
Torres Del Paine is a challenging park to visit. It is expensive to stay in the park, close to the trails and we were not prepared for the long drives and rough road conditions. That said, I felt that we were visiting a park that was in its infancy, uncrowded and wild. Balancing the cost of accommodations, transport and guiding is the trick to making the most of a visit. On this trip we had great experiences and learned a lot for our next visit. Despite the challenges, we will definitely be going back.
Tell us about Patagonia Camp
I really enjoyed Patagonia Camp. The yurts were well appointed and the food was exceptional. My husband was less impressed with the view from our particular yurt, but the Camp staff gave us a very nice upgrade for our last night. Going to the Camp is an experience in itself. The setting is beautiful and relaxing, the staff was top notch. The guides were exceptional, knowledgable and friendly. My husband felt constrained by the need to have a minimum of 2 yurts sign up for the hikes, which changed which hikes we were able to do. The other significant factor was the driving distances to the trail heads, as much as two hours one way on rough roads. The staff at Patagonia Camp bent over backwards to address all our concerns and make our stay the best it could be. Despite the challenges, we are already talking about going back to Patagonia Camp.

Yes
Would you be interested in travelling to Antarctica with Swoop?
Yes
How prepared and excited for Patagonia did you feel?
We were very well prepared and excited for the trip. All the information that Swoop provided was very useful and I am now spoiled by all the attention to detail that they provided.
Would you consider another trip to Patagonia with Swoop?
Yes
Do you have any recommendations for Swoop, or feedback about the team?
My only recommendation pertains specifically to Patagonia Camp. We could have used some more detailed discussion on the specifics of visiting Torres Del Paine. More time to evaluate the relative costs vs distances vs guiding options. But there is only so much advance work that can be done, and I am not sure we would have chosen any differently.
Do you have any tips or advice for other people planning a trip to Patagonia?
This was our first trip to Patagonia and our first trip using an agency to set things up. I am a bit spoiled now since all the accommodations and transfers were so well organized. Tourism is presenting lots of challenges to local communities around the world. Booking local guides and understanding local culture is essential to being a good traveler and I know that Swoop really helped us accomplish our goals for our visit to the Fin de Mundo.
Has your experience changed your perspective in any way?
Besides getting to spend real time in this amazing part of the world, we met so many fellow travelers who value adventures, nature and the beauty of our planet. This trip did inspire thoughts of other more challenging trips that seem now more possible, and we are already making plans.
