What was your most memorable moment?
Waking up on the second day in a completely snow covered landscape and enjoying the sunrise on Lago Grey which displayed a wide variety of beautiful colours on the mountains and in the sky. This was absolutely breathtaking. But to be honest it is very hard to pick one moment because I cherish so many beautiful memories!

Tell us about Torres del Paine
It exceeded my expectations. It was so much bigger than I thought and it felt so much bigger too! The variety was absolutely amazing and everyday I was blown away by spectacular views and beautiful nature. The highlight for me was maybe more of a constant feeling of hiking through such impressive landscapes than one particular view or moment. The whole experience was one big highlight haha. But seeing the grey glaciar from the viewpoint at the hanging bridges was definately unforgettable. Along with a very special moment when a brief beam of sunlight cleared the cloudy skies, revealing the towers in all their might. Amazing. To describe it for other travelers is very difficult. I think you have to experience it to really understand how special this place is. The vastness, the wildlife, the incredible views, beautiful sunrises/sunsets and the snow covered mountains left a very big impression on me.
Tell us about the Trekking
Our guide was really amazing. 10/10. Super friendly, attentive, very knowledgeable and just a very warm person. It was a great match. He always brought some thee for us, was checking if the pace was okay, how we where doing and explained so many cool things about the park!
Something Else?
The refugios where great! Breakfast, lunch and diner where fine and we felt very much taken care of with al the extra snacks, bars, nuts etc. And hotel Lago Grey was on another level. That was truly a fantastic experience!
Do you have any tips or advice for other people planning a trip to Patagonia?
Having good gear is super important, especially when trekking in winter. It makes all the difference. And definitely go to Torres del Paine for a multi day trekking, you will not regret it and make so many amazing memories.
Has your experience changed your perspective in any way?
In some way, definately. To experience this kind of untouched nature was new to me, as well as doing a 5 day hike. It was a very special feeling. A lot of time for reflection and also testing your own persistence. You will also face yourself during this trek.
How prepared and excited for Patagonia did you feel?
Really excited and well prepared. The customer support helped great with all my questions and the 'what to pack' guide was very helpful!
