What was your most memorable moment?
There were lots! it was a real surprise to be offered White Horse whisky on glacier ice on the return trip from visiting Lake Dickson and seeing the glaciers. I treasured the moment lying in The sunshine at Lake Dickson while viewing The three glaciers and all the group became quiet just enjoing the peace and the spectacular views. Sitting round the campfire at the first outpost while the hailstones fell on us was certainly memorable. The views from my horse while riding were also very memorable.

Tell us about Nibepo Aike
More than lived up to expectations from what I saw when I arrived in the morning after being picked up by taxi from my hostel. I loved the atmosphere there with the polished floors, the antique furniture etc. I was disappointed initially not to have the first night there but maybe just as well. The first outpost we stayed in was none too clean with cigarette end in old food cans littering the place and unswept floor etc. The other two girls were not impressed and made a formal complaint to the owner of the Estancia at the end. There was also an issue with the dogs tied up there in particular the injured one. This was reported to the owner of the estancia as well. Was nothing to do with Juan or Swoop Patagonia but caused a bit of upset between me and one of the other girls on the ride. It is in actual fact used by the gauchos as home while they are working and I felt humbled to experience that. The standards were in complete opposition . Ive been staying in hostels on my travels so Im a ittle more relaxed on such things.
Tell us about Los Glaciares
Remote , unspoilt by tourists, huge and immense. So glad i got to see them
Tell us about the Horseriding
Jaun was just brilliant as ive already said. he explained the ride in my meeting with him and what to expect re steep hills, descents The horses were were amazing. They were very surefooted and not bothered by crossing stoney creeks, passing by dead cows ( often a horse will hate the smell of decomposing bodies). As I said my mare was a perfect match for me. Jaun always checked the girths after we had set off and often stopped to jump off and check a loose strap or sleeping bag. He was very aware at all times. I was amazed at his knowledge of botany and the local environment including conservation and I enjoyed very much our conversations about such while we were riding. He could even point out a native bee and the differnce between it and a non native bee.

Just go for it!!!
Has your experience changed your perspective in any way?
I would hope so!
Do you have any recommendations for Swoop, or feedback about the team?
I would suggest dont put so much pressure on to book, it made me feel uncomfortable.
How prepared and excited for Patagonia did you feel?
I was very excited and nervous about coming to patagonia , its a 6 week trip with lots of logistics in the planning which ive done all by myself. The horseriding has been the highlight of my trip.
