What was your most memorable moment?
Spending an hour walking among the penguins at Martillo Island was no doubt the highlight of the trip. It was magical watching the goofy graceful creatures, and the young ones, peeking from the burrows with curiosity or playing with their parents. We got to see Magellanic, and surprisingly many Gentoo. Other highlights: Perito Moreno Glacier, and hiking at the amazing mountains at El Chalten.

Our trip was wonderful. It is really a shame that we had this last minute mishap about the Walking With Penguins tour on Martillo island. Luckily we were able to fix it ourselves and save the trip. Sadly, the way Swoop handled the situation after we returned left us with a bitter taste.
Do you have any tips or advice for other people planning a trip to Patagonia?
Consider contacting the local companied directly: Walk Patagonia, Piratour, etc. Swoop help with hotel and transportation was nice but not worth the unpleasant interaction when something went wrong. the local companies
Do you have any recommendations for Swoop, or feedback about the team?
It was a pleasure to work with the two people to plan the trip. However When something went wrong, it was handled very poorly. Our recommendations: - Have a serious look at internal communication. We were informed that the Walk with the Pinguines tour was not possible 3.5 weeks before departure - this is absurd. We had ongoing communication with our contact, and she indicated that she did not know about it, even though it was communicated to Swoop a few months prior. - Take the agreement seriously both sided, and honor it - When something goes wrong on your side, be accountable
How prepared and excited for Patagonia did you feel?
Very prepared and exited. Then anxious for a couple of weeks - when we found out the problem with the Walk with the Penguins tour. Then very prepared and exited.
