What was your most memorable moment?
Our guides Lucille and Jose made the entire W trek absolutely unforgettable. They were patient with our entire team since we were all different levels. They both were so lovely to be around and kept us at a comfortable pace. We all had so many great laughs on the trail and made so many great memories.

On a scale of 0 to 10, how would you rate your trip: The Original Torres del Paine W Trek?
9 out of 10
Tell us about Torres del Paine
The first day hike to Torres Del Paine, had higher elevation than I expected. I didn’t realize all the one day pass hikers would be out there. This made for a much longer day. Then, I wasn’t feeling well from the lunch provided by the Refugio. So this made for a rough hike down. The elevation gain was 4000k not 2,700ft.

Lucille and Jose were absolutely amazing! I highly recommend them as future guides. They really made our hike memorable. We loved every minute of the hike. Parts of the hiking was really challenging and our guides kept us at a comfortable pace. Yes, I would recommend to other travelers.

How prepared and excited for Patagonia did you feel?
I was completely prepared for the hike.
Do you have any tips or advice for other people planning a trip to Patagonia?
Bring stuff to take care of your feet (mole skin, band aids, corn cushions) this saved my feet and had no issues. I don’t wear hiking boots. I used trail shoes with gortex inside and had no issues with water getting my feet wet or blisters. I also did not bring rain pants but my hiking pants were water proof and water resistant. This made for space in my bag. I wish I would have had a clean shirt to hike in each day and a clean pair of socks. This is just a preference.
Has your experience changed your perspective in any way?
It was so nice to just disconnect from all social media and the phone. I was able to just really clear my mind and get my mental health back on track.
