Do you have any tips or advice for other people planning a trip to Patagonia?
We would encourage travelers to spend the night in either Punta Arenas or Puerto Natales prior to the transfer to Torres del Paine so that any airline schedule change doesn't alter transfers. We had to change airlines and pay extra money so that we didn't lose a day in the park.
Has your experience changed your perspective in any way?
We continue to marvel at God's creation and His revelation of His power and imagination. The more we travel the more we are in awe of Him!
Do you have any recommendations for Swoop, or feedback about the team?
The Swoop team answered our questions, assisted with any minor problems during planning, and demonstrated their thorough knowledge and experience in Patagonia! The guides on the ground never ceased to amaze us with their proficiency, professionalism, sense of responsibility for us, and kindness toward my wife in particular given her physical limitations.
How prepared and excited for Patagonia did you feel?
We felt as prepared as possible, but of course you always forget an item or wished you had taken something else. The videos provide great help. Hard to prepare you for the wind though, and I grew up on the very windy northern Great Plains of the US! Referring the question below, we would not consider another trip because we have other areas that we hope to visit. However, I would enjoy going back again.
