Do you have any tips or advice for other people planning a trip to Patagonia?
Have everything you need as advised by Swoop experts, do some physical training to be able to walk up to 15 miles a day and, at times, climb 4000 feet. Better to be over prepared than under. Enjoy the trip.
Has your experience changed your perspective in any way?
Yes, Patagonia is now somewhat known to me, not just a white spot on the map.
Do you have any recommendations for Swoop, or feedback about the team?
The team was great. Great transportation. Both guides in Argentina, Samara and Lucas, were excellent, gave us a lot of information about the area, history, nature. They were very helpful. Our Guide in Chile, Baru, was also very good, introduced us to Chilian culture as well as beauty of the land. Recommendation to Swoop: Activity Planner for the hiking days does not spell out elevation gain, just distances. It will be helpful to the future travelers to know, what to expect, distances + elevation gain.
How prepared and excited for Patagonia did you feel?
I was well prepared due to my prior hiking experience and enjoyed my time.
