Multiple: Seeing a puma on 1st day in park Staying at EcoCamp Patagonia, the great food, all the people I met there.

Tell us about EcoCamp
An awesome place to stay, amazing food, experienced & knowledgeable guides and a wide range of excursion choices. Lodging: Stayed in a Suite Dome and really enjoyed the space. Fire was started late afternoon each day so dome was warm when I returned from excursion. Food: OMG it was amazing. Fresh and amazing variety. Loved that I got to make my own lunch. Dinner options were excellent. Excursions & guides: Great options to choose from. Guides were knowledgeable, felt very safe traveling alone because of their excellent care, explained the excursion difficulty, spot on about the weather.
Tell us about Torres del Paine
What an awe inspiring national park. Amazing views, crazy weather mix so pack for wind, rain, snow and sunny days. Favorite: View of the Horns on a sunny day across the lake.
Tell us about the Trekking
Very knowledgeable. Straight forward about trekking difficulty. Excellent weather forecasting. Felt safe as a single female traveler with them.
Do you have any tips or advice for other people planning a trip to Patagonia?
They don't exaggerate about the wind - it can be brutal. Water is excellent - don't be afraid to drink tap water. People are very friendly and passionate about their home.
Has your experience changed your perspective in any way?
Planning on booking another trip to Chile to visit the lake district.
How prepared and excited for Patagonia did you feel?
Stoked! Pre-travel call answered the last couple of questions I had about the trip. Really appreciated the tipping info Swoop recommended.
