Tell us about the Trekking
In the previous section I described the excellent job our guides did in our trek. I just copied here just in case. "Our guides, Santiago and Mauricio did a fantastic job in leading the team. Santiago went above and beyond his duties to help me with a minor knee sprain I had during the first day. He coordinated with the Chile Nativo office and the refugios for me to take a two-day rest and then I was able to re-join the group for the last two days of the trek. Without his help I should had to return to Puerto Natales after the first day. Mauricio also did a great job. He is very passionate about the area, he is very well versed in the history, geography and plants and animals of the region."
Do you have any recommendations for Swoop, or feedback about the team?
The booking process at Swoop was very streamlined and without any issues. The follow up was great and made sure we had all the information we needed. There are a couple of things I like to point out. Somehow the participation of the Swoop team members in the actual trek seems misleading. By reading the bios of the team, it appears Swoop has a team of employees in the ground. In reality all the execution and heavy lifting was done by Chile Nativo - your local partner. It appears that Swoop does not have any employees in town. This is really a minor point because Chile Nativo did a great job as explained before. The second point is that in the webinar to provide more information, you suggested that the food at the refugios are great. This is very misleading because in reality the food is kind of average at best in the refugios. I totally understand the challenges to operate the refugios, literally in the middle of nowhere, but I will suggest Swoop stops creating this high expectation.
