The only hiccup was with the hotel(s) in Ushuaia. We arrived at the Patagonia Jarke and they had no reservation for us. They had to call headquarters, (I guess H & T), to discover that we had been transferred to another hotel, the Villas Brescia. This was no big deal, we only needed a place to sleep one night , the last night of the trip. BUT, the replacement hotel was not at all of the quality of the rest of the accommodations you organized. Not clean , needed maintenance, and would have been a big disappointment if we had had to stay there for more than just 12 hours. Again, not a big deal under the circumstances, but if that hotel charged the same amount relative to the other hotels you organized for us, then someone took a bath! Not a deal breaker, just a heads up. Thanks for a great overall experience!
Has your experience changed your perspective in any way?
Yes, I now feel a lot older and in need of all the luxury you provided!
Do you have any recommendations for Swoop, or feedback about the team?
Everyone we encountered was knowledgeable and helpful. I would have liked to have been given more suggestions about detailed information on the various hikes we did or could have done. Not necessarily from SWOOP, but maybe a suggested reading list. Some of the hikes we did turned out to be too long, and others too short. I wish I had planned better.
How prepared and excited for Patagonia did you feel?
Very nervous. It is so far away, and so different. But you smoothed it all out for us
