Do you have any tips or advice for other people planning a trip to Patagonia?
Do not overthink the planning: walking sticks, good comfortable shoes, an actual water resistant layer and enough underwear/socks are what I found to be key, and in any case, you'll figure it out. There are enough shops at el Calafate/ el Chalten is buy any missing gear, so don't overstress.
Would you consider another trip to Patagonia with Swoop?
Yes
Would you be interested in travelling to Antarctica with Swoop?
No
Would you be interested in travelling to the Arctic with Swoop?
No
Has your experience changed your perspective in any way?
My trekking experiences from this trip to Patagonia have gotten me hooked into trekking and I am already thinking about continuing trekking.
Do you have any recommendations for Swoop, or feedback about the team?
I had to fill out the exact same medical/insurance form like 3 times: twice online through swoop, and once when I arrived in person at el Chaltén before the trek. A small detail that could be addressed.
How prepared and excited for Patagonia did you feel?
I felt super excited and fairly prepared, at least physically, since I like doing a bit of sports. The beauty of Patagonia lived up to and exceeded my expectations.
