What was your most memorable moment?
I honestly enjoyed the interactions with the guides and the other team members that I met during the trip. There was no one moment for this, it was throughout the trip. Each location had its own experience to make it unique but the memories from the friendships made will be most memorable.

The pace was good and the discussion and information provided by the guides along the way was great - this is something we would not get on our own

The attitudes, effort and overall quality of the guides was really what distinguished this trip for us. They all went above and beyond what was required and it really made a difference. There were other groups we saw along the trek and at the refugios and it always seemed like our group was saying to itself - "our guides do so much more for us than what we see with other groups!!" And it was just the little things, like having extra avacados for us, warm tea at breaks, pressing coffee for us in the morning, and things like this. They were all great.
Do you have any tips or advice for other people planning a trip to Patagonia?
Be ready for all types of weather. Don't overpack - the guidelines provided are very accurate. Do some research on the country ahead of time - history, culture, etc and that helps with great conversations with the guides and people. Learn some Spanish if at all possible!!!
Has your experience changed your perspective in any way?
I will definitely do more group trips like this in the future. This was our first and we really did enjoy it. The little extra expense is well worth it
Do you have any recommendations for Swoop, or feedback about the team?
Keep doing a great job! Stay focused on great staffing and keeping the lodgings and accomodations as good as possible - this is important when travelling a long way and spending more. The meals were quite good - don't cut back on this area either as it is important. Mostly keep doing what you are doing!
How prepared and excited for Patagonia did you feel?
We were all good to go, nothing I would really change for preparation, other than wishing we had some Spanish language!!
