We didn't like the hotel in El Calafate: the Quijote. We had 2 twin beds and not a bed that we could both sleep in. Additionally, the breakfast was below par: the eggs were served cold. We would not recommend this hotel be the first choice of Swoop going forward. This was the *only* thing on the whole trip that we were unhappy with. Also, we were very happy with the time that we had to call the Swoop urgent line. One last thing. It may be helpful in the itinerary to supply contact information for the local guides etc and also reservation information for the hotels.

Would you consider another trip to Patagonia with Swoop?

How prepared and excited for Patagonia did you feel?
We felt very prepared for the trip. I think the information regarding tipping seemed to be wrong; Swoop recommended a level of tipping that didn't appear to be consummate with other travelers and what is expected. For example, the tour guides did not seem to expect tips but Swoop seemed to suggest that we tip. We don't mind tipping but want to be appropriate.
