What was your most memorable moment?
There were so many to pick just one is an almost impossible task! However, the view from the Lazo Weber viewpoint on a stunning, clear day was spectacular.

Do you have any tips or advice for other people planning a trip to Patagonia?
Follow Swoop’s advice for packing, tips, etc. Don’t assume that laundry is always available. They are serious about the 4-seasons in one day. You will need well broke in, waterproof hiking boots with ankle support, rain gear and the wind does blow as hard as they say. With the variable weather you may not get to see the views you had planned on, just part of the adventure. A bit of physical training before the trip would be advisable. It is a vast area and you will likely spend a good bit of time in a van going to your excursion, enjoy the view. We would add a day or two for rest, recovery and chilling if we were to do again. Our basic Spanish was generally adequate. Be a good tourist, the Chilean people we met were welcoming and very helpful. They are also proud of their country. Enjoy the experience.
Has your experience changed your perspective in any way?
Protected places and the implementation of sustainable practices are needed now more than ever. Developed a new respect for the Chilean people, their culture and country.
Do you have any recommendations for Swoop, or feedback about the team?
No recommendations for Swoop. Our view is the Swoop team did an excellent job with our trip. Chloe was very knowledgeable and provided excellent guidance during the planning process. Marcela was very patient and did a great job of answering my questions. The planning was first rate and everything worked as it should have.
How prepared and excited for Patagonia did you feel?
Very excited. This was a big trip for us. We felt very prepared as Swoop’s communication was very good. We were a bit apprehensive regarding transfers as we weren’t sure about the conditions on the ground and there were a lot of moving parts. However, once we got there everything became clear and went very well.
