What was your most memorable moment?
Hiking through the French Valley and being surrounded by the mountains and glaciers. It was also not very busy there, it felt more peaceful and we were able to sit and have a quiet lunch.

Our guides Carolina and Francisco were so great! But they had to work a lot harder than us, in the brutal wind and weather carrying all of their gear. Could swoop start providing a tent and a sleeping pad for the guides at the Refugios? Then they would just need to pack a sleeping bag. Just an idea to help the guides out a bit, they did such an amazing job.
Do you have any tips or advice for other people planning a trip to Patagonia?
Follow the packing list swoop provides, the list is spot on. At the end of the day I would dip my feet in the icy cold water at the lakes, it helped in my soreness and recovery greatly!
Has your experience changed your perspective in any way?
Yes, it made me fall in love with Chile and Patagonia. I will be back with my husband!
How prepared and excited for Patagonia did you feel?
I was prepared with my packing, but I didn’t really research how long the days would be. The first day was the hardest, and the most busy. After that I enjoyed it more because it wasn’t so busy.

Our guides were amazing. Carolina and Francisco did a great job checking in with everyone during the hike. They brought us hot coffee and tea for lunch and had the best information about Patagonia along the way.
