Confirm the tours we've booked and the porter service as you've already charged us on the items. It's disappointing to know that the service was not available at last minute after we've paid and planned everything.
Do you have any recommendations for Swoop, or feedback about the team?
First, it is regarding the Big Ice of Highlights of Los Glaciares. As we had previously expressed, we are highly dissatisfied that the Big Ice was only informed to us to be fully booked on 20 December while we had already confirmed our order for Big Ice on 8 November and fully paid on 21 November. We should be able to consider other alternatives if we were to be informed earlier. Secondly, regarding the Porter Service during the W Trek, in the email dated 15 Nov 2022, the service and its cost (450 USD) was included both the trip details and the balance. Since we did not receive any updates since then, we always expected the Porter Service and thus also packed our things accordingly. Hence, we are extremely shocked and panicked when we were informed that there is no porter arranged, not only because the service was confirmed and paid earlier, but also because we only carried small day backpacks for our hike and we brought those porter-carried items separately in smaller bags (which we expected to fit in the porter’s own backpack), thus it would be impossible for us to carry those extra luggage by our own small day backpacks. Although eventually a porter was arranged with the help from our Guide, Vincenzo, we spent extra time every morning to arrange the porter which always delay our hike. In addition to the time, we also need to pay the porter by cash, which is also an unexpected cash expenditure during the trip. Thirdly, regarding the Forjd Trail Horseback Riding, we are so disappointed on the information provided prior to our trip. When we were packing and preparing for the trip in late December, the itinerary printed out still did not include the packing list for the Horseback riding programme, nor the date-time for briefing was told. We were only told the date-time of briefing and the packing list on 9th January, when we were already inside the National Park and we did not have any access of mobile data. Also because of the late information on the sleeping bag and mats are needed, we can only arrange an urgent renting of equipment on 11 January night, which costed us USD 60. If it was not that urgent, we should be able to arrange the sleeping bag and mats earlier and the cost should not be that overly expensive (for your information we had rent sleeping bag and mats at El Chalten for only USD 8).
