The guides were so helpful. And they were knowledgeable about the area and the wildlife. We had a lesson every day. They were always pointing things out.
Do you have any tips or advice for other people planning a trip to Patagonia?
Be prepared for changing weather. Buy a very small daypack for the days when you can leave most of your gear behind for a day hike on the W Trek. My little pack packed up into its own pocket and just weighed a couple of ounces. It’s called Kiva keychain pack. Most of the people on the hike didn’t understand what they were supposed to do, and weren’t prepared.
Has your experience changed your perspective in any way?
Had a great experience. It was what I expected, except the weather was great. No rain, except one night. We were very lucky.
Do you have any recommendations for Swoop, or feedback about the team?
I wish they made the final payment easier to do. Most people want to use credit cards with no extra fee. The team was very responsive. They gave good suggestions and answered all questions in a timely manner.
How prepared and excited for Patagonia did you feel?
Very prepared and ready. It was a life list trip for me.
