What was your most memorable moment?
There are so many memorable moments that it is hard to choose. A funny one was when the kayak leader at Lago Desierto told us to put on the special waterproof outfit. I wasn't expecting that. The leader served us cookies and coffee when we took a break on land in the middle of the trip. Then there were snow flurries as we neared the end. It was a great experience!

Tell us about the Kayaking
Loved it. Just would recommend bringing an extra pair of socks so you have a dry pair to put on if you get your socks wet. Recommend adding this tip to the itinerary.
Tell us about the Trekking
Great guide. Really appreciated that he was very professional, but he also adapted the trek to our interests and abilities.
Something Else?
Loved the Argentina side of Iguazu Falls. Recommend putting a note in the itinerary for the Brazil tour about needing proof of either COVID vaccination or negative COVID test. We had read the Brazil requirements ahead of time but didn't understand them. Since we couldn't go to Brazil, we explored the little town of Igauzu Falls in Argentina and had a great day anyway, but perhaps future customers can benefit from our experience.

Do you have any tips or advice for other people planning a trip to Patagonia?
Only the US 100 bills with a blue stripe are accepted when changing money in Argentina. Even if a 100 bill is perfect, if it does not have a blue stripe, it will not be accepted.
Has your experience changed your perspective in any way?
I used to think all of South America was like the Mexican food and people I know in southern California. Now I realize that Argentina food and people are completely different, in a good way. I used to think Argentina was small, but now I know it is enormous. I used to think that Argentina's population was evenly distributed, but now I know 40% of the population lives in Buenos Aires.
