What was your most memorable moment?
Too many! Lunch at a glacier watching an avalanche, celebrating my birthday and my best friends birthday with a specially made cake by the Serrano camp staff, getting about a foot away a wild Guanaco, our talks with our amazing guide Anne. Too many to name.

Do you have any tips or advice for other people planning a trip to Patagonia?
Prepare for intense wind!! Know some Spanish. Hiking poles and toe socks were game changers for me.
Has your experience changed your perspective in any way?
We continually strive for perfection in the United States that I didn’t realize how actually diverse and accepting our culture is. I’ve always been rather down on the states and it was interesting to hear how people don’t even have the option to go to college if their parents can’t pay for it or even just seeing people from 10 different countries at the grocery store at home, made me feel more grateful. Our lives are easy, but not simple and the people/culture we experienced lives are not easy, but simple in the most beautiful way.
Do you have any recommendations for Swoop, or feedback about the team?
When I first tried to make payment through a US Bank, they told me it was illegal to send that amount of money to a foreign country. I’m not sure how others pay, but it freaked me out a little bit! So there might need to be some mention of this or more instructions on how to do it if paying through bank.
How prepared and excited for Patagonia did you feel?
SO excited and was pleasantly surprised to find, very prepared as well.
