Tell us about Valdes
Roger, our driver while in Valdes was great. He was very knowledgeable of the area and especially the wildlife. Our hosts at Rinco Chico were also great, and the facility was what we expected, given the price of the trip.

The trip from El Calafate to Punta Areanas was not smooth. Thanks to the guide we had at the Perito Moreno Glacier, the driver to the bus station the next morning was aware we didn't have tickets for the bus. He went from window to window at the bus station to find what bus we were to take. We had to buy tickets, which should have already been paid for! The trip to Puerto Natales was so long, that we missed our 2:00 bus in Puerto Natales. We had been given the choice of the 2:00 or 3:00 bus, which was a mistake, since there was no way we could've made that connection. This failure to get us our tickets in advance caused us unnecessary stress! The guide we had, Paula, and the driver, Oscar were excellent, and we thoroughly enjoyed visiting the King Penguin colony.
Tell us about Torres del Paine
Patagonia camp is an excellent facility overall. The staff was great, the food was great, and our guide, Marcello and driver, Patricio were fantastic. The only negative was the distance from our yurt to the gathering area. We were almost as far away as one could be. The whole area is traversed via wooden decking which was slippery when wet, and much of the lighting was sparce. I had a serious fall on the way to the van and was fortunate to not require medical attention. This was caused by tripping on a wooden slat that stuck up above the others, which I tripped on and also it was wet, and there was zero lighting in the area. I counted the steps from our yurt to the gathering area, and it was a total of two hundred uphill, of which 67 were stairs. This was disappointing, since we had requested to be closer to the top.
Tell us about Los Glaciares
We had an excellent guide, Pablo, for the Glacier visit. He was very knowledgeable and attentive to our needs. When we told him we didn't have our bus tickets yet for the next day, he called in and made sure our driver the next day could take care of us.
Do you have any recommendations for Swoop, or feedback about the team?
I would recommend reconfiguring your itineraries, as they are hard to read. I would also recommend you send them out well before the trip--at least 30 days. We didn't receive ours until about ten days before the trip. I feel that Swoop needs to do a better job of attention to detail. Your pricing indicates a top of the line experience, but there were too many things that had "slipped between the cracks". Things like separate beds, vegetarian meals, bus tickets, we had higher expectations. The San Lorenzo facility was a joke, and you should never place anyone there again.
How prepared and excited for Patagonia did you feel?
We were well prepared for the trip, and very excited.
