What was your most memorable moment?
So many. Torres del Paine was great. A great days wilderness fly fishing out of El Calefate. Horse riding in Pucon. An excellent seafood restaurant in Ushuaia. A great solo trek to the moraine lake with a guide. Many many more.

Do you have any tips or advice for other people planning a trip to Patagonia?
Just accept that there are some early starts and a fair bit of travelling. We researched the trip quite thoroughly before going so there were no unpleasant surprises.
Has your experience changed your perspective in any way?
Yes. Both Chile and Argentina are far more developed than we anticipated. We also wish that we had taken the time to learn a bit more Spanish before the holiday. I have a keen interest in history but my knowledge of modern history in the countries visited was a bit sketchy before we went. The trip gave the opportunity to improve this.
Do you have any recommendations for Swoop, or feedback about the team?
I will write up a trip advisor report for any future clients to review, but any criticism would be nit picking. The breakfast menu in the Argentine hotels was a little limited but that is the only minor issue that comes to mind. While contacting Swoop about queries before we travelled, we were satisfied on the whole with the service provided, although we were shuttled around with different advisors which I believe was because of staff leaving or changing positions, but this didn’t really cause any problems. I have to say though that the trip was made much easier for us by the quality of our guide working for the contracted company . Max’s knowledge and attention to detail was faultless and all of our group of thirteen travellers felt that he enhanced the trip.
Was there anything else Swoop could have done for you to help you prepare for your trip?
As we prepared well ourselves, probably not.
